Anyone remember what the first Snapshots this year were like? Originally coming and praising the appearance of new variations of our favorite passive mobs? Yeah, it made us Spring to Life. 🌹

- The Panorama has been updated for Mounts of Mayhem
- Added “Mob Kabob” advancement for spearing 5 enemies
- New variation of the Zombie Nautilus called the Coral Zombie Nautilus

It has been a pretty long year for 2025 hasn’t it? We’re getting close to the end and we only have one month left. Given this month is pretty relaxed in new maps, let’s take a look back and see what has become popular. What maps people look back and play.

What Has Released This Year for Minecraft
So now that the Mounts of Mayhem is coming out.. what has been added to Minecraft this year? Well let’s recap over everything that we have gotten!

Spring To Life
- New Flora – Tons of bushes, dry grass, and even the leaf litter
- Test Blocks – Technical blocks used to help out with the game test feature
- Cold & Warm Mobs – Pigs, Cows, and Chickens have new variations
- Fallen Trees – Like in Bedrock, Trees now can be fallen over, sprucing up game life
- Many Changes – New Spawn Egg Textures, Improved Cartographers, and even Leaf Particles
Chase The Skies
- Dried Ghast – A mysterious living block that can pop out a new mob
- Ghastling – A new, small companion who needs Snowballs to Grow
- Happy Ghast – A grown ghastling who can be ridden through the skies
- Music Discs – The addition of Lava Chicken by Hyper Potions and the Tears discs
- Locator Bar – Find your friends using this temporary bar over the EXP bar
The Copper Age
- The Copper Golem – Small little golem who can help with inventory sorting
- Copper Tools – A new tool set perfect for those who can’t find Iron easily
- Copper Decor – Tons of blocks and decorations based around the ore of Copper
- Mannequin – A technical entity that’s perfect for mapmakers
- Debug Screen – Improved customization for it through F3 + F6
Mounts of Mayhem
- Nautilus – A neutral mob that can be tamed and ridden under the water
- Parched – The desert variation of the Skeleton, shooting weakness arrows
- Netherite Horse Armor – Netherite tier of the Horse Armor (gives 19 Armor Points!)
- Spear – A weapon that has long reach and new combat abilities
- The Lunge Enchantment – Allows you to jump forward a certain distance
While these updates are small and not as huge as things like The Nether Update or Caves & Cliffs, we have to remember that Mojang are hard at work! These updates offer a look into ideas that Mojang can execute without needing too much to worry about staying completely cohesive!
Now if only they would give us 1.22… 😅
Looking Into December 2025
Best be bringing your a-game Mapmakers! Christmas is just around the corner!
December’s looking to start bringing the season of jolly and holly for new Minecraft Maps and new Minecraft Modpacks! There’s a lot that this snow-filled month brings in outside of just the colder temperatures, so best keep a watch folks. 🎅
