How do I manage my Minecraft Server?
We use the Multicraft control panel. It is a web application that allows you to take control of your Minecraft server using any of the widely used web browsers (Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, & Chrome). Multicraft's wide feature set will give you ease of control over configuration options that can otherwise be difficult to implement.
How do I connect to Multicraft?
Click on the Control Panel link at the top of the StickyPiston.co website. You will be taken to the Multicraft Control Panel. Click on the Login button across the top. Enter the login details that we have provided you with. On your first login, it's a good idea to change your password. Click on the Profile button across the top.
How do I view my server's configuration?
Click on the Servers button across the top and then click on My Servers on the left. You will be taken to your Server's control panel. If your user account has access to multiple servers, you will get a shortlist of those servers, click on one to view its control panel.
What information do I need to allow players to connect to my server?
On the default Server Control Panel page the IP and Port for that server are displayed. You will also have this ip address and instruction in an email.
How do I make a player a Moderator or Administrator? How do I ban players?
Role assignments can be made from the Multicraft Control Panel, click on Players down the left hand side.
Can I backup and restore worlds?
You can perform a manual backup/restore from within the Multicraft Control Panel. Choose Backup from the left hand side of the Server Control Panel to access these features. How To: World Backup
What mod support is there?
When your server is created you have the option of choosing what server Jar you wish to use from Default, CraftBukkit Recomended, BETA & DEV. CraftBukkit allows you to add server mods in the form of plugins. We also have servers which use Modpacks such as Feed the Beast servers & Tekkit.
How do I install plugins?
Available plugins for the server Jar that you are using can be viewed and activated from the Server Control Panel by clicking on Plugins on the left hand side. Additional Plugins can be added either on request or by yourself using FTP access Installing a Plugin using Multicraft Control Panel
When there's a new version of Minecraft what do I do?
When a new version of minecraft is released we will update the minecraft server software when the update becomes available, updates for the default server are available straight away though CraftBukkit updates can take a while before they catch up to the latest release. 'Outdated Server' when trying to connect
Can I transfer a Minecraft Server that I already have over to your service?
You can either give us a world backup and we will restore it for you or you can upload the backup manually via FTP and restore it using the Multicraft Control Panel. World saves that have extraneous data (used by a plugin) that are held in an SQL database or other data files may require additional actions. Contact us if you are unsure what you need to do.
