How To: Change or Update your Minecraft Server

A guide to updating your Vanilla, CraftBukkit or Spigot server to the latest version.

Changing Your Server Type

Changing between common server types can be easily handled by our Click and Play installer, to learn more about how it works, you can read about it here: How to: Change Your Minecraft Server Using the Click and Play Installer

Updating Your Server Version

If you are running an older version of Minecraft on your server, you can update it at any time yourself by following the steps in our guide about how to use the Click and Play installer, or you can reach out to our support team and we will do it for you!

STICKY NOTE

You can only change the Minecraft version if your server is running Vanilla, Spigot, or Bukkit. Modded servers and Minecraft Maps are not able to have the version changed to prevent breaking the map or modpack.
