The Essentials modpack is a modpack that is aimed to add small little additions to the game that would be considered necessary for even vanilla Minecraft. One of the greatest examples would be the AI Improvements mod which simply adjusts the AI and allow it for a modded ecosystem, also helping with removing these guys from “beyblading” around in circles on a singular place. It’s not a help to you like having to mess around with the Reap Mod, a mod in which allows you to right click harvest crops, but it’s certainly something to help the game feel more alive. Speaking of liveliness, Not Enough Animations also makes it possible for you to look at yourself in 3rd person to see new and simple animations being done such as reading a book or opening a map instead of you just standing there like a silly little goose.
