Cryptopolis has a new and unique way of resource generation. It’s best to learn how to harness the blocks and items of the Nether to make your escape from this dimension. There’s some starting tips offered through FTB Quests when you start out, given from the council. They also provide a Vending Machine filled to the brim with Croptopia food. Once out, even though you’re in the Overworld, it’s best to get into Blue Skies to travel through their dimensions and harness its alchemy system.

Memory Requirements & Player Slots

  • Memory Guideline Start with 4GB of RAM, minimum tested for smooth server performance. For hosting friends or public servers, 5GB is recommended to handle more players and chunks. Upgrade RAM if lag hits, easy fix
  • Max Players estimates slots per GB before lag or out-of-memory errors. Mods/plugins reduce players per GB, and limits show as servers get busy. Unlimited Slots, set wisely in the control panel. It’s a guideline, not set in bedrock!

Why is Cryptopolis so Laggy and Stuttering?

The reason is CurseForges' Launcher is missing the default Minecraft JAVA Arguments, without these will cause client lag such as judders or client lockups, commonly known as lag spikes. To fix CurseForge Cryptopolis lag, do this:

  1. Open the CurseForge app
  2. Click Cog > Minecraft
  3. Add this to Additional Arguments
  4. Increase the Allocated Memory to modpack authors recommended settings
  5. Click the top-right
  6. Restart the Cryptopolis, for no lag
