SkyFactory 4 Server Hosting introduces a new type of resource gathering through growing crops for the newest abilities and bringing in Sky Orchards. These new saplings make it possible to grow resources such as dirt or lapis. There’s also Animal Crops in which instead of trying to wait for a mob to spawn through a patch of grass, you can instead grow these mobs from the ground up inside of a regular wheat farm. After enough time growing these crops and planting these orchards, you will learn the inner workings of ProjectE, a mod which uses a system called EMC to transfer the amount of one item’s value to an entirely new item like dirt to diamonds.

Quick Summary of the Sky Factory Modpack Series
The Sky Factory Server starts you off standing on top of a tree and a singular piece of dirt, surrounded by a vast area of nothing. It’s a void for all intents and purposes, with a sun rising in the east and a moon falling to the west. In this series, you’re tasked with building out from these small pleasures to create one of the most tech filled worlds to exist. You’ll soon learn to grow a platform so big you have one area covered in pigs turning into glass and redstone to another area housing a humming nuclear reactor.
What to Expect out of your SkyFactory 4 server
The 4th iteration of this modpack server hosting brings in new types of challenges around for you to deal with. You’ll need to start with gathering materials under the Sky Orchards. These new saplings are what make possible to obtain more dirt to grow out your skyblock or obtain things like diamonds. As you invest into these trees for a farm, you’ll also want to pay attention to the Animal Crops. With these crops you can start growing mobs instead of constantly waiting for the right one on top of slowly building grass blocks. When you grow enough of these trees and enough of these animals, you will start to lean into ProjectE. Transmuting all your hard work into EMC will make it possible to start turning cobblestone from the Cobblestone farm into valuable resources like gold.
Getting Started
- You will start on an island in a classic Sky-Block style void
- Follow the Quests to advance your creations
- When you complete a chapter, press P to open your Prestige menu
- Unlock cool upgrades and powers with Prestige and complete all the quests

How to create a world in Sky Factory 4
Your Sky Factory 4 Server comes with the World Manager. Use it to quickly switch between various world presets and manage the worlds you create.
The World Manager is built into your StickyPiston Server and offers simple world creation and management tools. Here is how to set the World Template on your Sky Factory 4 Server.
- Click on World Manager
- Click Create New World
- Give it a World Name and configure the World Settings
- Choose a Topography Preset you wish to play on
- Scroll down and click Create New World
