Memory Requirements & Player Slots

  • Memory Guideline Start with 6GB of RAM, minimum tested for smooth server performance. For hosting friends or public servers, 7GB is recommended to handle more players and chunks. Upgrade RAM if lag hits, easy fix
  • Max Players estimates slots per GB before lag or out-of-memory errors. Mods/plugins reduce players per GB, and limits show as servers get busy. Unlimited Slots, set wisely in the control panel. It’s a guideline, not set in bedrock!

Why is Our Story: Legends so Laggy and Stuttering?

The reason is CurseForges' Launcher is missing the default Minecraft JAVA Arguments, without these will cause client lag such as judders or client lockups, commonly known as lag spikes. To fix CurseForge Our Story: Legends lag, do this:

  1. Open the CurseForge app
  2. Click Cog > Minecraft
  3. Add this to Additional Arguments
  4. Increase the Allocated Memory to modpack authors recommended settings
  5. Click the top-right
  6. Restart the Our Story: Legends, for no lag
