The Elysium modpack gives a refresh to Minecraft’s coat of paint and adds more to it. This makes seeing the Familiar Fauna better and discovering the Rustic pots that can be found in caves more natural. It’s almost as if you’re diving into another game entirely from this!
Still though this is Minecraft in where the discovery of some mods are essential to your survival. Starting off there’s the Custom Starter Gear in which you start with custom tools for your survival. Then it’d be best to dive into Pyrotech in order to cook your food or light your way in early game. Then find Ancient Golems to kill and forge new technology as seen in Embers Rekindled. Once you get a good grasp on the future that’s seen, you can explore more lands and find more ways to enjoy the world around you.
