Note that 2 GB of RAM is required due to newer versions of Minecraft using more memory, this is automatically enforced in the launcher, so you will need 64 bit Java 8.
Note: OptiFine and a shaderpack like Sonic Ether’s Unbelievable Shaders or Sildur’s Shaders are recommended if your computer can handle it! Install OptiFine by putting it in the mods folder (click Open Folder in the launcher under Modpack Options and go to the mods folder) and create a “shaderpacks” folder in which you will drop in any shaders.
