Prepare for TREPIDATION and struggles up ahead. Spawning in the Nether, you’ll notice the timer clocking down on your screen. Battle upwards through dimensions to defeat the Ender Dragon in the alloted time. Dying and restarting is all part of the process, but don’t go crazy from it.

Memory Requirements & Player Slots

  • Memory Guideline Start with 4GB of RAM, minimum tested for smooth server performance. For hosting friends or public servers, 5GB is recommended to handle more players and chunks. Upgrade RAM if lag hits, easy fix
  • Max Players estimates slots per GB before lag or out-of-memory errors. Mods/plugins reduce players per GB, and limits show as servers get busy. Unlimited Slots, set wisely in the control panel. It’s a guideline, not set in bedrock!

Why is TREPIDATION so Laggy and Stuttering?

The reason is CurseForges' Launcher is missing the default Minecraft JAVA Arguments, without these will cause client lag such as judders or client lockups, commonly known as lag spikes. To fix CurseForge TREPIDATION lag, do this:

  1. Open the CurseForge app
  2. Click Cog > Minecraft
  3. Add this to Additional Arguments
  4. Increase the Allocated Memory to modpack authors recommended settings
  5. Click the top-right
  6. Restart the TREPIDATION, for no lag
