“Man.. where has the time gone?” one might be asking themselves. We can hardly believe it ourself, the end of 2025 coming! It only feels like yesterday that we were recounting our 2024 Recap…

This year saw quite a bit happening. To mention some of the things – we put a pause on Minigame Mash and the Stream Team! With them though we’ve seen more mapmakers coming along to partake and even the introduction to our very own Map Drops.
Not only that, but we’ve been seeing all the Minecraft Drops that have came along, including the most recent one – Mounts of Mayhem.
Before spoiling everything that’s occurred though, let’s take a recap through all that 2025 has offered to us at StickyPiston.
Snapshot Releases – A New Version System AND Drop
So not only do we get to see the release of an ENTIRELY new Mounts of Mayhem Minecraft Drop, but we also get to see how Mojang will be handling their versions of Minecraft for the future!

StickyPiston Experiences – Where Did They Go?
It feels like it has almost been a while since we’ve seen the likes of Minigame Mash and the Stream Team to grace us with their presence. So what happened? Where did they go?

Minigame Mash
To be honest with everyone – we have been having trouble with hosting Minigame Mash! I know, it hurts to have to say it. But we miss the larger groups of people, we miss bringing in mapmakers, and we miss a lot of the activity that revolved around it.
So it’s clear changes have to be done, but we’re working on refining our side of things before we can host this again. Will it be coming back? Yes! We just don’t know when.
Just give us some time to focus on our hosting experience before we can make ourselves ready for this.

Stream Team
As you have probably noticed, we have stopped our Twitch streams! But why is that? We’ve not had a proper explanation so let us do so – we’re busy!
Some of the Stream Team members are people who work for StickyPiston. Happy, John, Hessel. So we’re busy trying to make sure StickyPiston is prim and proper and that requires our full attention. But it’s not just us!
We got others like MoseMajor, Khallador, and Captonium who are busy with their personal projects or real life. It’s hard to try and get streams in when you got constant goals happening around each corner!
So we, in the future, want to be able to make things uniform and easy. We also want to be able to help them connect to the audience who watch in, adding various engagements and activities to do while watching the stream!

In the end, we want to make it easier for the audience AND ourselves to engage more into what we’re doing. So these experiences that we provide? They’re not going anywhere! We’re just taking a break and putting more of a focus on improving not just them, but ourselves.
Minecraft Modpacks – Christmas Cheers
Let’s take a break to introduce you to something amazing – Christmas Modpacks! Recently, TheHappywheels1 has introduced players to 5 Winter-Ready modpacks to look at. Want to take a look at what is suggested?

Hytale – A New Monolith Has Grown
This year has been a mix of emotions from a new block game growing – Hytale. At first we’re getting news that.. it was being shut down! Even us at StickyPiston were surprised that it was going away! But low and behold a savior comes who originally started this project…
Simon of Hypixel! This man came back, made a large deal with Riot Games, and now has gotten Hytale on the ground running again. There’s been constant updates since he got his hands on it again and constantly getting us more and more hyped up for it again.
Now will we be hosting game servers for it? 🤔 Only time will tell…
Looking Into 2026
Ho-ho-hoo boy was that a lot to get through! Now, what’s in the works for 2026 you may be wondering? Well we got a lot of plans, not all of which we can share just yet here at StickyPiston.
Looking into the New Year, we are looking to give more control to our customers. This means additional Modpacks, additional Maps, and maybe even entirely new revamps! There’s going to be a lot going on that you should keep a watch out for.
We might also be bringing back things such as Minigame Mash as a potential weekly or monthly event. We also might come to make the Stream Team more unified, feeling more like a group rather than just individuals who happens to stream on the same channel. Keep a watch for us on StickyPiston.TV.
Thanks again from all of us here at StickyPiston Hosting! Have a great Christmas Holiday of 2025, and here’s to a bright future in 2026! 💡
