In May 2026, we sent MarioHessel to the Netherlands for the biggest weekend in Twitch Streaming – TwitchCon EU at the Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre!
Hessel made sure to get loads of pictures from the event. Let’s see what he got up to at TwitchCon.
Minecraft Everywhere!
For TwitchCon EU 2026, Minecraft was the presenting partner. To put it simply, Minecraft was everywhere at the convention centre. From the Minecraft Arena, to a bonus Minecraft LIVE, and even the return of MC Championships live from the Twitch Rivals Arena (and that’s still not everything)!
The Minecraft Arena also featured a photo opportunity inside a life-size Sulfur Cave! Minecraft 26.2 Chaos Cubed releases to everyone on June 16th 2026 on Java & Bedrock.

Venturing Into Minecraft Dungeons II
Attendees of TwitchCon EU 2026 saw many teasers of what Minecraft Dungeons II has in store. And of course, MarioHessel couldn’t resist checking it out!

Since TwitchCon EU 2026, Mojang and Microsoft released the Minecraft Dungeons II Reveal Trailer on their YouTube Channel, showcasing in-game cinematics and gameplay – the first time we have seen Minecraft Dungeons II Gameplay. We can’t wait to dive back in and save The Overworld!

A Bonus Minecraft LIVE: The Next Drop
Enough Minecraft for ya yet? Because there’s more! Mojang hosted their first live Minecraft LIVE since 2019 … Minecraft LIVE LIVE? It’s very early days for development, but Mojang still had plenty to show us.
The Dappled Forest
A new Biome is falling into The Overworld (sorry, bad joke). The Dappled Forest completes the seasonal circle of Minecraft. Spring in the Flower Forests, Summer in the Plains, Autumn/Fall in the Dappled Forest, and Winter in the Snowy Tundra. The Dappled Forest also brings a new Poplar Wood type.
Wool Stairs and Slabs
We asked, Mojang finally heard! Wool Stairs and Slabs are coming to Minecraft this Autumn as part of the 26.3 Game Drop! Now all we need is slabs and stairs in Concrete, Dirt, Grass, Glass, Sand- I could go on…
Abandoned Campsite
When you press “Create New World”, every chunk you explore is freshly generated and untouched by the player … or is it? Who built these campsites? How did they get here? Actually, what loot can I get from them?
Our Time At TwitchCon Comes To An End
As quickly as he arrived, MarioHessel headed home from an eventful TwitchCon adventure.
Minecraft’s presence at TwitchCon EU 2026 was something to remember. In fact, this blog post doesn’t even mention everything there was to see. There was Tubbo’s Mid-Offs LIVE: The Minecraft Pre-Show, Couriway’s 10,000th Minecraft Speedrun, The Minecraft Gauntlet, and much much more!
