Reinstalling a modpack on your client

If you are having difficulty connecting to a modded server and you are getting errors like the following:
  • Missing Mod
  • Mod Rejection
  • Invalid block IDs
Then it's possible that your modpack instance has the incorrect mods or there are some config files that contradict those on the server.
If you are sure that you have selected the correct version of the modpack in your modpack launcher then we suggest completely reinstalling the modpack on your client machine.

In FTB Launcher:
  • Go to the Options tab
  • Click 'Force Update?'
  • Launch the modpack
The modpack will be reinstalled and then launched.

In ATLauncher:
The easiest way is to simply create a new instance:
  • Go to the 'Packs' section
  • Find the modpack in the list
  • Click 'New Instance'
  • Change the Instance name (add some text to the end so that you know which is the new instance)
  • Select the version of the modpack
  • Click 'Install'
  • On the 'Select Mods to Install' window, click 'Select Recommended'
  • Click 'Install'
Go to the 'Instances' section to see the new instance of the modpack. If you don't change the instance name then any existing instance with the same name will be deleted, along with any single player worlds created with it.

In Curse Voice:
The easiest way is to simply create a new instance of a modpack profile:
  • Click on 'Minecraft' at the top
  • Move your mouse over the 'Install Modpack' icon, click 'Browse Modpacks'
  • Find the modpack in the list
  • Move your mouse over the modpack icon, if it says 'Install', then click the 'Install' button
  • If there is a button with 'Play', then click the down-arrow to the right of 'Play' and click 'Install'
  • The modpack will be queued to install in a new profile instance
  • Click the 'Back' button to return to the main Minecraft view
The new instance of the modpack profile will have '(1)' at the end of its name. You can delete profile instances by right-clicking on them and selecting 'Delete'.

In Technic Launcher:
  • Go to the 'Modpacks' tab
  • Find the modpack in the list and click on it
  • Click on 'Modpack Options' in the top-right
  • Select the correct version
  • Click 'Reinstall Pack', click 'Yes' when prompted
  • Click 'Install' in the bottom-right

In Voids Launcher:
If the Voids Launcher needs to update when you start it, then agree to the update. The update can take a while, wait for it to complete and re-start the Voids Launcher.
  • Go to the 'Mod Pack' tab
  • Find the modpack in the list and click on it
  • Click 'Reinstall'
