Create Minecraft Profile to connect to other MC version

In order to play in older version of Minecraft you must tell the launcher to load that version, the way to tell the launcher to do this is by making a new version profile. This guide will take you through the steps of creating a new profile.

Creating A New Version Profile

  1. Open your Minecraft launcher.
  2. Got to the Installations tab at the top of the screen.

  3. Click the New... button.

  4. Give the new installation a name that you will recognize, this can be anything from Snapshot 19w53a or dont dig straight down as long as the name has meaning to you.
  5. Select the game version that is needed for the server from the Version dropdown.
  6. Click Create at the bottom right of the screen.
  7. You are ready to start playing, hover over the profile and click Play
