Those lovely chaps over at Bukkit.org have put up their release build for BukkitCraft 1.1! It’s now possible to play with plugins again using all the new Minecraft 1.1 features.

We have already uploaded the new BukkitCraft JAR file to the Sticky Piston Multicraft repository. If you’re one of our server owners, here’s what you need to do to make sure you are using it.

I’m currently using BukkitCraft 1.0 – You don’t need to do anything. The server will use the new JAR the next time it starts. Manually force a restart from the Multicraft Control Panel if you can’t wait.

I’m currently using Minecraft 1.1 – Log onto your server’s Multicraft Control Panel. Scroll down to the JAR file selection, select Mod: CraftBukkit from the dropdown, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save button. Restart the server.

I moved from BukkitCraft 1.0 to Minecraft 1.1 or I moved from BukkitCraft 1.0 to BukkitCraft 1.1 DEV – Log onto your server’s Multicraft Control Panel. Scroll down to the JAR file selection, select Mod: CraftBukkit from the dropdown, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save button. Restart the server. If you didn’t uninstall any plugins when moving to Minecraft 1.1, CraftBukkit should detect and run them. If any plugins fail to run (Check the Console output), they may need updating. If it’s a plugin installed via Multicraft, let us know and we’ll upload the latest version.

We can’t guarantee that all your favourite plugins will work with the new BukkitCraft 1.1. If there is a plugin that you can’t love without and it doesn’t work with with BukkiCraft 1.1, you’ll have to make the decision to either:

  • Use BukkitCraft 1.0 (We will keep the old version around) until a compatible version arrives
  • Stop using the plugin until a compatible version arrives
  • Find a working plugin that provides the same function (will need setting up)

We can’t keep track of every plugin that you choose to use, but we will test out the plugins that we make available in the Multicraft plugin list.
