How to Share your Custom Modpack with Friends

If you want your friends to join your custom modded Minecraft server you will need to share the modpack files with them before they can join. This guide follows on from How to Share your Custom Modpack with StickyPiston and we recommend that you start there. If you are not server owner with StickyPiston this guide can still help if you have the exported files from your chosen launcher.

Using a File Sharing Service

You can upload your modpack files to a variety of file sharing sites and then send your friends the link to download them directly. This is the easiest in terms of using different launchers, older mods and mods that can not be found in the approved Curseforge Mod list.

  • Open an account with your chosen file sharing service.
  • Upload the modpack files.
  • Create and share a link with your friends.

Here are some of the file sharing services we use:

Once your friends have the files, they will need to import them to their chosen launchers.
If you have questions about how to do this, open a support ticket and we are happy to help.

Uploading your modpack to Curseforge

If you want to share your custom modpack with the general public or would rather not use a file sharing service then you can upload it to the Minecraft Curseforge page with ease. This is useful for future updates, as you can upload the new versions and your friends can download them instantly through the Twitch launcher.
